Inter have won three of the six previous meetings against Borussia Dortmund across all European competitions, with two victories for the Germans and one draw.

The most recent meeeting between the two ended 3-2 to Borussia Dortmund in November 2019, despite Inter being 2-0 up at the break. That was the only time Borussia Dortmund, in a European Cup or Champions League match, was two or more goals down at halftime and still came back to win. THE OPPONENT: BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Borussia Dortmund have collected eleven points so far in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League. Along the way, they have won against Athletic Bilbao, Copenhagen and Villareal, and drawn to Juventus and Bodo/Glimt. Their two defeats came against Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. Overall, they have scored 19 goals and conceded 15, showing particularly strong form in their home games.

In the Bundesliga, Niko Kovač's side are currently in second place on 42 points after 19 games. They have won 12, drawn six and lost one, having scored 38 goals and conceding 15. They are eight points behind league leaders Bayern. In their last five league games, they have collected 13 points, highlighting a strong run in terms of results and consistency.

Borussia Dortmund have lost just one of their last 21 home UEFA Champions League matches (13 wins, 7 draws), a 3-2 defeat to Barcelona in December 2024. Head coach Niko Kovač remains unbeaten at Signal Iduna Park in the competition (3 wins, 3 draws).
