Calhanoglu: "We're working well and want to be ready for the start of the season"

“I saw some good signs from the team, and there are still ten days to go until the start of the season. We started well before the rain made things complicated; it wasn’t easy to play on such a heavy pitch. We need to analyse a few mistakes ahead of our first league match, but we’ve worked really well recently, including in Japan. Now, there are still ten days to put in the hard work and make further improvements. We want to start our league campaign off well and avoid the errors we made last year. During pre-season, we’ve improved in possession and defensively, and today we tried to build from the back on several occasions. We just need to work on set-pieces. However, the only thing that counts is for us to be ready in ten days.”
