Carlos Augusto: "Never easy playing here, we show character"

“I want to thank my teammates because it’s never easy to play here. We did everything we could to try to win the game, but the details make the difference and we need to be more clinical with our chances. I’m happy with the team’s character because, just like against Napoli, we kept trying until the very last minute. We showed our character by trying to come back into the game, even though at 2-0 down we allowed them a few counter-attacks. We can come away with our heads held high, and we have to keep going like this. The goal is a bittersweet one for me; the most important thing is that Inter win their games. We need to keep that in mind so we can continue like this and be ready for Udinese on Monday.”

“We created a lot of chances and made two mistakes that led to Real’s goals, but we had plenty of opportunities to score and we have to keep playing in this way.
