The Iranian forward is nominated for the Player of the Week award after being voted Man of the Match by fans, powered by Qatar Airways

Two assists, one goal, and a performance of great generosity and sacrifice. Mehdi Taremi was the standout player in Inter's victory against Crvena zvezda on Matchday 2 of the Champions League. The Iranian forward was a key factor in the 4-0 win. In addition to his contributions in attack, Taremi created two chances, won back five balls, and triumphed in three out of five duels contested.

These impressive statistics highlight Taremi's match, during which he scored his first goal for Inter against Crvena zvezda. After being awarded the UEFA Man of the Match, he was also recognised by the Nerazzurri fans, who voted him as Man of the Match powered by Qatar Airways.

However, the accolades might not stop there for the number 99. Taremi is one of four candidates for UEFA's Player of the Week award, alongside Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund, Dusan Vlahovic of Juventus, and Abdallah Sima of Brest. Fans can vote for Mehdi through the official Champions League channels.
