The Nerazzurri coach's comments after Inter vs. Bodø/Glimt

Inter’s Champions League journey comes to an end. Bodø/Glimt secured their second victory in the playoff round and repeated their first-leg success at San Siro, beating the Nerazzurri with goals from Hauge and Evjen. Bastoni pulled one back with fifteen minutes remaining, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome. Cristian Chivu spoke after the game:

“We tried everything. We were up against a very well-organised team, with ten men behind the ball, and the longer we couldn’t score, the more confident they became. I can’t fault my players, they gave absolutely everything. They may have had a bit more energy. We couldn’t break the deadlock in the first half, and in the second they scored twice. There’s a lot of disappointment because we really wanted to go through, but we faced a team that was organised, determined and full of energy and they deserve to go through.”
