Dario Baccin is Inter’s new Chief Sport Officer

FC Internazionale Milano and Piero Ausilio announce that they have mutually agreed to part ways with immediate effect.

Ausilio worked at the Club for around 28 years, taking on roles of increasing responsibility. Over the years, Piero served as Club Secretary, Head of Organisation and then Youth Sector Director. In December 2010, he began working with the First Team before becoming Sporting Director and Head of the Technical Area in February 2014. In this important role, he helped the Club win nine trophies: three Scudetti and three triumphs apiece in the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana. His invaluable work also helped Inter reach three European finals: two in the UEFA Champions League and one in the UEFA Europa League.

“I would like to thank Piero on behalf of the entire Club, the ownership and every single employee in the great Nerazzurri family. Piero and I have shared moments of joy, victories, intense work and enormous passion,” said President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta.

Dario Baccin, who works closely with the First Team and the Technical Area, will take on the role of Chief Sport Officer.

“Dario knows the Club well and is now ready to embrace the new role that the ownership and I have chosen for him. It is an innovative appointment that also ensures continuity in our management,” Marotta concluded. “Dario has been a key part of the Technical Area for many years and is the figure who oversaw the creation of the Under-23 side in close coordination with the First Team, with a view to the Club’s progressive and sustainable development.”
