A special day and a chance to revisit some of the most memorable moments in Nerazzurri history: on Friday morning, Diego Milito and Walter Samuel were welcomed to Inter HQ. The two legends visited the Nerazzurri Trophy Room and were hosted by President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta, who presented Milito and Samuel with two personalised shirts with the numbers 22 and 25 printed, the numbers that the two Argentinians wore for many years during their time at Inter.
Diego Milito is currently the president of Racing Club de Avellaneda, the Argentinian team where he began and ended his career as a player. During his meeting with President Marotta, the two swapped shirts from their respective clubs, adding another symbolic moment to the visit.
Two champions, two legends, and two friends: Diego Milito and Walter Samuel were among Inter's leading figures in the early 2000s. They embodied a team that won five trophies in 2010. The two Argentinians shared incredible and unforgettable moments in the Inter dressing room. Fan favourites, Il Principe and The Wall, led Inter to spectacular heights: Milito by scoring decisive goals in every competition, and Samuel for his incredible performances at the heart of the Nerazzurri defence.
171 appearances, 75 goals, and six trophies in five years for Milito, 236 matches, 17 goals, and 14 titles over nine seasons for Samuel. Extraordinary numbers, which can never truly do justice to the bond that the Argentinian players have with Inter.
A unique and lasting connection, which Milito and Samuel discussed in their interviews, also sharing their thoughts on Cristian Chivu's Inter.
“It's always a real pleasure for me to be back in Milano, it truly feels like home. Even after all these years, I still feel the fans' love and that of everyone at the Club. That really means a lot to me. I will always be grateful to Inter, and it's such a pleasure to be here. ”

“I live in Milano, and I keep up with Inter; it's always a pleasure to see so many friends, like Diego, and spend time with them here at Inter's headquarters. ”
