A crucial 4-0 victory over a challenging opponent wraps up the third matchday. Inter leaves San Siro after a game against Atalanta marked by 90 minutes of dazzling play, a spectacular goal, a textbook approach in both halves and total dominance. Federico Dimarco reflected on the match:
“Barella scored an incredible goal, and we’re thrilled about it. In the locker room, we enjoy ourselves, joke around, and stay focused. On the pitch, our rhythm in the first half was fantastic—one of the best I’ve seen. I was even surprised myself. We need to maintain that level. Playing against Atalanta is always challenging. We started strong for the first 30 minutes and then dropped off a bit, but in the second half, we came out just as strong, scoring two quick goals to seal the win. Given the early part of the season and the staggered return of players, it’s normal not to be at full intensity for all 90 minutes. It’s crucial to choose the right moments to apply pressure, and I think we did that well today. We need to aim to replicate last year’s success. It won’t be easy, but we’re Inter, and we need to prove it. The key to our group is that we get along well and have fun when we play.”

The post-Atalanta words of Kristjan Asllani:
“Winning like this isn’t easy, but we managed well, especially in the first 30 minutes. We need to keep moving forward because there’s always a lot of work to do. Those who play less must always be ready; we're a well-managed group and get along well, which is crucial. If the goals come early, even better — we did well to score twice in the first 10 minutes and then control the game. Whenever we get playing time, we must give our best and raise the level in training. Having players of such high calibre in the squad benefits everyone. This year, we want to prove ourselves again, and we have important goals we want to achieve.”
