Dimarco: "We have the right mentality"

“During the week, Asllani told me I’d score, so I immediately went over to hug him. I’m happy for the team, and we have the right mentality. We’re playing well and are achieving great results. Comparisons to Recoba and Roberto Carlos? We’re talking about to left-footed players who made history with Inter, so I can only be happy to be compared to them. I interpret the role in my own way and try to create a passing lane for my teammates through my movement. I always look to play for the team. Like the others, Juventus are a strong side, but we must only focus on ourselves.”

“I’m happy to have played my first Serie A match as a starter. It’s a different kind of league compared to the others, and I try to give everything out on the pitch. I like this positive brand of football where I often find myself in the opposition box. It was a fantastic experience, and I think home matches are the best. I talk to everyone and have great chemistry with my teammates. I try to listen and learn as much as possible, especially from my fellow defenders. I’m learning Italian, which I use out on the pitch, but I don’t quite feel up to speaking it in interviews yet.”
