Inter Milan President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta has been elected to the Executive Board of the European Football Clubs (EFC), the association formerly known as the ECA.

Marotta was appointed during the EFC General Assembly held in Rome and will serve on the Executive Board as Italy’s representative.

“Representing such an important club in a context where Inter plays a significant role is certainly a great source of pride. I believe Italian football is an essential part of the European game – there needs to be greater dialogue, as there is now a natural and organic connection between Italy and Europe. This must help us protect and preserve our sport in every possible way”
