A prestigious recognition celebrating the work, vision, and daily commitment dedicated to the development of Inter’s young talents. Massimo Tarantino received the Mino Favini Award as the best Youth Sector Director for the 2024/25 season, during which Inter’s Primavera team triumphed in the league, winning the Scudetto.

On Monday, February 2, the 34th edition of the Golden Bench was held at the auditorium of the FIGC Technical Centre. Organised by the FIGC Technical Sector, the event has become a landmark occasion in Italian football, celebrating excellence in the sport through the direct evaluation of peers.

Named in memory of Mino Favini, a legendary figure and key reference in youth football, the award is given to the sector head who stands out for results, planning, and the ability to develop young players.

The award also underscores the strategic importance of youth academies and the hard work carried out behind the scenes. For Massimo Tarantino, it represents the culmination of a career built on expertise, passion, and identity, values that have always defined Inter’s Youth Sector and continue to be a cornerstone of the Nerazzurri project.

“I am truly honored to receive this award and also quite moved, because today I am in front of such an important audience. I want to thank the Technical Sector for this wonderful opportunity, and my colleagues who voted for me. I am receiving an award that carries a very important name, that of our mentor, Mino Favini. I didn’t have the chance to know him personally, but I know countless stories that inspire us: we all strive to carry forward the responsibility of developing young players as best we can, with a great sense of responsibility. I share this award with Inter and with the people I work with, thanks to whom I am here today. We are many, and we are fortunate to work in such a fantastic Club, where so many talented people have helped me reach this achievement. I also share it with all the other youth sector professionals who may not be here to receive an award today, but who, with dedication and above all passion, work to give countless young people the chance to play this beautiful sport, and, why not, to dream”
