Happy birthday, Goran!

Quiet, humble and blessed with an outstanding football mind, Goran Pandev was a key figure in the Inter side that completed the historic Treble in 2010.

Having arrived in Italy in 2001 at the age of 18, Goran came through Inter's youth academy. He enjoyed a remarkable season with the Primavera side, winning both the league title and the Viareggio Tournament in 2002. After spells with Spezia, Ancona and Lazio, he returned to the Nerazzurri in January 2010, where his arrival proved decisive, helping Inter find the tactical balance that ultimately delivered the Serie A title, Coppa Italia and Champions League. Across his two spells with the Club, the Macedonian forward made 69 appearances and scored 8 goals, producing a number of unforgettable moments. Among the most memorable were his free-kick in the 2-0 derby win over AC Milan on 24 January 2010, and his dramatic stoppage-time winner against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the 2010/11 Champions League Round of 16, a goal that sealed qualification to the next round after a remarkable comeback. Pandev won six trophies with Inter: one Serie A title, two Coppa Italia trophies, one Supercoppa Italiana, the FIFA Club World Cup and the 2010 Champions League.
