A new league fixture awaits Inter, who return to play in front of the Nerazzurri faithful after their 0-3 victory over Feyenoord in the Champions League. Chivu’s team will face Como at San Siro on matchday eleven, with kick-off scheduled for Sunday 8 November at 18:00 CET. At the Meazza, the Nerazzurri will take on Fabregas’s side, who are coming off a league victory over Venezia and a resounding 1-9 win away to Lens in the Champions League.
The two teams met four times last season across the league and Coppa Italia, producing exciting matches full of entertainment.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
Inter and Como have met 30 times in Serie A, with the Nerazzurri holding the advantage thanks to 21 wins, compared to six for the Lariani, with three draws completing the record.
Inter have won their last eleven Serie A matches against Como, recording the longest consecutive winning streak in the Club’s history against a single opponent in the competition. The 21 defeats suffered by the Lariani against the Nerazzurri represent the most losses Como have suffered against any one opponent in Serie A. Inter also lead in goals scored, with 63 in 30 meetings (an average of 2.1 per match), compared to Como’s 28.
In the 15 meetings at San Siro, Inter have recorded 14 wins and one defeat against the Lariani.
THE NERAZZURRI’S CURRENT FORM
Inter head into their San Siro meeting with Fabregas’s team in second place in the table with 25 points, having recorded eight wins, one draw and one defeat. The match at the Meazza will see the best attack (Inter, 115 goals) face the best defence (Como, 37 goals conceded) across the last two Serie A seasons (since 2025/26, considering only teams present in both campaigns).
The Nerazzurri have made an excellent start to the season at home: Chivu’s team have scored 17 goals in their first five home matches in this Serie A campaign, winning all five. Over the last 60 years, Inter have scored more than 17 goals in their first six home league matches on only two occasions, scoring 18 in both 1999/00 and 2021/22.
Inter (12) are also the team with the most goals scored in the final half-hour of matches in this league campaign, nine of which have come in the last 15 minutes—a further record. They have also earned 13 points from losing positions, the best figure across Europe’s top five leagues.
The match at the Meazza will feature two teams who like to control the game: Inter (220) and Como (203) have registered the most total shots in this Serie A season. The Nerazzurri (62.5%) and the Lariani (62.1%) also have the highest possession percentages.
THURAM AND COMO
Marcus Thuram was one of Inter’s leading figures in October: Tikus scored against Parma, Bologna and Fiorentina, and helped create the Nerazzurri’s opening goal in Venezia. He has already scored five goals at the start of this league campaign, and on Sunday he will face an opponent he has found the net against on several occasions. Como are Thuram’s third-favourite opponent in Serie A, with four goals in three matches. He has scored more only against Parma (five goals in five games) and Torino (seven in five).
Furthermore, in the 2026 calendar year, Marcus has been involved in 21 goals (14 goals and seven assists) in 26 league appearances. Only Donyell Malen (25) has done better in Serie A during that period. The only calendar year in which the Frenchman was involved in more goals across Europe’s Big Five leagues was 2024, when he recorded 22 contributions (18 goals and four assists).
CALHA AND CARLOS
Hakan Calhanoglu and Carlos Augusto have both been key figures in recent matches against Como. The Turkish midfielder has been involved in a goal in each of his four league meetings with Como (one goal and three assists), as well as scoring a decisive brace in the 3-2 victory in the most recent Coppa Italia semi-final. This is already Calha’s record streak against a single opponent in Serie A.
Como are also one of only two teams against whom Carlos Augusto has scored at least two goals in Serie A, alongside Spezia (two goals against each). The Brazilian has already scored twice in this league campaign, against Udinese and Bologna, and has four goals in total when his Champions League contributions are included.
