The complete guide in the run up to Inter vs Parma

After a lengthy international break, Serie A is finally back as Inter take on Parma on Matchday 6 of the 2026/27 season. Chivu's side head into the game unbeaten, having recorded four wins and a draw in their opening five matches. Inter currently sit top of the table on 13 points, level with Roma and Lazio, while Parma are 15th with four points.

HEAD-TO-HEAD RECORD

Inter and Parma have met 58 times in Serie A, with the Nerazzurri holding the upper hand with 25 wins to Parma's 16, alongside 17 draws. Inter are unbeaten in their last nine league meetings with Parma, recording six wins and three draws.

INTER'S CURRENT FORM

Against Roma, Inter came back from two goals down to avoid defeat for the third consecutive Serie A match. Only Bologna had previously achieved this feat, recording three draws in 1937.

Inter have now gone 135 consecutive Serie A matches without a 0-0 draw, an unprecedented run in the competition's history, with no other team ever reaching 100.

Inter have registered the most shots on target in Serie A this season (37), while Parma sit bottom of the rankings with 14. The Nerazzurri also lead the league for Expected Goals (14.5), with Parma once again in last place (3.4).

Chivu's side top several other statistical charts: Inter have delivered the most crosses from open play (83) and recorded the highest average possession in the league so far (63.1%).

THURAM AND PARMA

Marcus Thuram has scored in all four of his Serie A appearances against Parma. He is also one of just three players in Europe's top five leagues to have scored at least five goals and provided at least five assists since the start of April (8 goals, 5 assists), alongside Lamine Yamal and Corentin Tolisso.

Parma is also the city where Marcus was born on August 6th, 1997, when his father Lilian was playing for the Gialloblù.
