The Nerazzurre beat Hibernian 0-1 following the 4-1 home win

Mission completed for Inter Women: after the 4-1 home win, the Nerazzurre won in Edinburgh against Hibernian. The 1-0 win was secured by Tomasevic in the final minutes of the game, allowing Piovani's side to reach the second round of the Women's Europa Cup.

A strong start to the match from the Nerazzurre: in the sixth minute Bugeja picked out Vilhjalmsdottir in the box, but her shot went wide. Shortly after, Wullaert came close to giving the lead with a run down the left, but Schumacher intervened to save the hosts. Inter kept pressing, with Andres trying from distance and later Bugeja, being blocked by the Scottish defence. Despite the chances, the match was 0-0 at the break.

In the second half, the momentum didn’t change: the Nerazzurre continued to create chances. In the 65th minute Tomasevic tried her luck from the edge of the box and came close to scoring, while five minutes later Adams replied for the Scots with a right-footed shot that hit the side netting. The match turned in the 80th minute: Notley misplayed a back pass, Schumacher was forced to rush out of the area and collided with Glionna as she broke through on goal. A straight red card meant Hibernian were down to ten players. Inter pressed until the end and found the breakthrough in the 92nd minute: a brilliant team move, with Scough creating a chance for Detruyer, who set up Tomasevic—a first-time finish to seal the 0-1 win.
