FC Internazionale Milano and BBVA officially presented their new Partnership today at a media event held at Inter HQ.

Under the agreement announced on 28 July, BBVA has become the Official Sleeve Partner of the men’s First Team, Inter Women, Inter U23, Inter U20 and Inter Legends, as well as the Front Jersey Partner of the Club’s men’s and women’s youth teams from U18 level downwards.

Inter President Giuseppe Marotta welcomed everyone and delivered the opening remarks. The press conference featured Giorgio Ricci, Chief Revenue Officer of FC Internazionale Milano, and Walter Rizzi, Head of Digital Banking at BBVA Italia. Inter Vice President Javier Zanetti was also in attendance.

“We are delighted to welcome BBVA to our headquarters and officially begin this new journey together. Even in these first few weeks of working together, we have recognised in BBVA a vision for growth and innovation that is fully aligned with that of our Club, along with a strong ambition to create tangible value for people and our communities. We are confident that this partnership will offer us new opportunities to strengthen our relationship with our fans, further develop the Club’s digital ecosystem and create increasingly innovative and relevant experiences”

Giorgio Ricci - Chief Revenue Officer FC Internazionale Milano

“Seeing our logo on the Inter shirt is an important moment for BBVA. This partnership is tangible proof of our long-term commitment to Italy. We want to continue growing alongside our customers by offering innovative products and an increasingly simple and rewarding digital experience. Partnering with one of the world’s best-loved and most widely followed clubs allows us to connect with millions of people who share our values of trust, innovation and excellence”

Walter Rizzi - Head of Digital Banking BBVA Italia

BBVA’s commitment to Italy

During the presentation, BBVA highlighted its strong growth in the Italian market, where the bank is approaching one million customers and continues to see a sustained increase in business volumes.

BBVA also unveiled a new offer for existing digital banking customers. Available from 1 October, it offers an interest rate of up to 4.25% on new funds, underlining the bank’s commitment to providing attractive terms to customers who have already chosen BBVA.

The initiative complements the offer for new customers, which includes a 4% interest rate and 4% cashback for six months. These are among the most competitive terms currently available in the Italian banking market. It forms part of “BBVA, digitale e banca banca”, the bank’s largest-ever communications campaign in Italy, with television and out-of-home advertising across the country.

The Partnership with Inter

The Partnership between BBVA and Inter brings together the Club’s commitment to its fans and BBVA’s digital-first approach, with the aim of developing exclusive content, dedicated initiatives and new opportunities for the wider fan community.

BBVA is also developing a range of stadium-related initiatives for its customers, including a prize draw giving winners the chance to watch a match from some of the best seats at San Siro. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
