Inter put three past Cagliari thanks to Thuram, Barella and Zieliński

Inter are flying high. The 3-0 win over Cagliari lays another brick in the Nerazzurri’s league campaign, with Chivu’s team securing their third consecutive victory. We're now on 78 points with five matches left to play. A boiling, electric San Siro drove the team on and was in turn lifted by Inter’s performance. After a tight first half, that ended 0-0 at the break, the Nerazzurri burst into life. Everything happened in less than four minutes, between the 52nd and 56th minute. Thuram scored first, finishing from close range after yet another perfect assist from Dimarco. Then Barella struck powerfully with his right foot to beat Caprile. The 2-0 shattered Cagliari’s morale, who no longer had the strength to respond. Inter controlled the game, played with confidence and entertained the crowd. Deep into stoppage time, in the 92nd minute, a stunning long range effort from Zielinski made it 3-0, pushing Inter even further ahead.
