Inter 4 - 1 Cremonese: all the action from the game

— Oct 4th 2025Goals from Lautaro, Bonny, Dimarco e Barella: a dominant display sees the Nerazzurri reach 12 points in the league
A Saturday filled with goals, brilliant plays, and pure spectacle, both on the pitch and in the stands; the perfect evening. The light autumn drizzle enveloped a packed San Siro, as over 73,000 fans watched the Nerazzurri put on a show. The 4-1 victory over Cremonese could very easily have had different highlights – just look at the stats – but in a match defined by Lautaro, Bonny (who also bagged three assists), Dimarco, and Barella, the focus starts with the Inter captain. Another goal, meaning Lautaro Martinez reaches 158 in total for Inter, climbing to fifth in the all-time scoring charts and equalling Luigi Cevenini III.
It was an almost flawless evening, marred only by the late goal conceded near the 90th minute, preventing a clean sheet that had seemed inevitable given the negligible offensive output of the visitors (save the closing minutes). Inter dominated Nicola’s side from the first whistle: their aggression and intensity meant that after less than six minutes, the tone was already set, with Lautaro opening the scoring from Bonny’s assist. Inter were unstoppable, with Frattesi everywhere on the pitch, threatening almost immediately. High pressing and constant pressure in the opponent’s half left Cremonese unable to build or rely on their forwards.
In the 12th minute, a second Inter goal was ruled out by VAR for Akanji’s offside on Dimarco’s shot. Silvestri was forced into repeated saves, denying Mkhitaryan and Frattesi time and again. Wave after wave of attacking play followed, with the Nerazzurri operating at the highest technical level. The breakthrough finally came in the 38th minute: Dimarco, unstoppable all game, delivered a perfect cross for Bonny, who scored a diving header. Yet Inter didn’t let up, instead continuing to exploit spaces with fluid movement – a true spectacle.
The second half followed a similar script, and the goal that sealed the match arrived in the 55th minute: Dimarco’s left-footed strike, set up by Bonny, was a beauty: low, well-placed, and a delight for the San Siro crowd. Two minutes later, another show-stopping move saw Bonny tee up Barella for the fourth. Three assists for the Frenchman and standing ovations all around Meazza.
Inter eventually eased off for Cremonese, but never stopped playing: Mkhitaryan stayed sharp, while substitutes Esposito and Luis Henrique kept probing and looking for shots. Only in the final minutes, thanks to fresh legs, did Cremonese manage a brief spell of threat: Vardy and Bonazzoli added some liveliness, with the former Inter player scoring in the 88th minute to make it 4-1. Nothing changed: three points for Inter in a match marked by 27 shots to 3, 65% possession, 13 corners to 1, and a staggering 12 Inter players having a shot.
Cristian Chivu’s side will return to action on 10 October in a friendly against Atlético Madrid, before resuming Serie A duties against Roma at the Olimpico on 18 October.
