A special evening and an unmissable annual occasion that has long seen Inter take centre stage. On Wednesday 7 October, the 31st edition of the Premio Gentleman was held at the Teuliè Military School in Milano, celebrating fair play as one of the fundamental values of football.
Inter received several Fair Play Awards during the evening. President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta was presented with the AIPS International Gentleman Award, a special honour awarded in collaboration with the Association Internationale de la Presse Sportive.
“Everything starts with one key value that should be part of whatever we do: passion. I fell in love with this world as a child and I’ve been fortunate enough to turn that dream into reality, so I’m extremely happy today. This season’s calendar is a little unusual. For the first time, we have such a long international break, so we’ll also have to see how things develop. Our work carries on throughout the week, with the aim of making sure the players are in the best possible condition when they take to the pitch. This is also a good opportunity to thank the many colleagues from Inter who are here tonight and who are part of what I like to call the invisible team. They may not be in the spotlight, but they work behind the scenes every single day to put the team in the best possible position to win. Winning everything is a dream, and sometimes dreams do come true. Our duty is to give our very best, and our right is to keep dreaming.”

The ceremony also featured a special moment in memory of Sandro Mazzola, an Inter and Italian football legend who passed away in September. President Marotta presented the special Gentleman Sportsman Award in Memory of Sandro Mazzola to the Nerazzurri legend’s son, Sandro, in a fitting and heartfelt tribute to one of the most iconic players in Inter’s history.
“We have a duty to preserve our history and the values it represents. The great role models of the past remain with us, and it is our responsibility to pass their example on to the younger generations so they can become champions not only on the pitch, but in life as well. That is exactly what Sandro Mazzola showed us throughout his career with Inter and the Italian national team. More broadly, he was an example for the entire world of football and in the way he lived his life away from the pitch.”

Inter’s honours did not stop there, with several Nerazzurri players receiving awards during the evening. Federico Dimarco was named Gentleman Lega Serie A.
The Inter wing-back accepted the Fair Play Award with great pride:
“Individual achievements always come through the team. To get a lot of assists, you need strikers who score a lot of goals, and I’m lucky enough to have four very good ones alongside me. I’m pleased to have reached that record, but it’s already in the past. Now we have to focus on the present, on new targets and new trophies. I used the international break to recover, and from the next game we’ll be ready to go again even stronger. You can’t choose between the league and the Champions League. We want to compete in both.”
Federico Dimarco
Federico Dimarco was not the only Inter player honoured on the night. Piotr Zielinski was also in attendance and collected two awards: the Gentleman Inter prize and the Best Inter Goal of 2025/26 award for his stunning strike away to Hellas Verona last season.
“Thank you for these awards. I think we’re a great team with a lot of character. Anyone who comes up against Inter knows how difficult we are to beat, and we always go into every game trying to win. Coach Chivu is a great person and an excellent coach. I hope I can work with him for a long time because it’s a real pleasure. He’s fantastic. The international break? Maybe it was a little too long. I couldn’t wait to get back to my Club and my family. That said, it’s always a pleasure to play for your country, even if four matches in one window is probably a lot.”
Piotr Zielinski
The final Nerazzurri Fair Play Award of the evening went to Mattia Mosconi. The 2007-born youngster was named Gentleman Inter Breakthrough Player for the 2025/26 season, the campaign in which he made his Serie A debut for Inter.
“I came through the youth academy and worked my way through every level at Inter until last year, when I was finally able to fulfil the dream I had as a child. This award means a lot to me, so I want to thank everyone at Inter, my teammates, the President and the Director, as well as my Under-23 teammates, who I train with every day. The aim now is to keep moving forward on this path, working hard with humility, sacrifice and dedication, and hopefully earn more opportunities like this in the future. ”
