YOUTH LEAGUE, INTER 3-0 KAIRAT 3-0 | MATCH REPORT
It was a blistering start at the KONAMI Football Centre, as Inter threatened early on through Iddrissou and Mosconi. The Nerazzurri's first chance came in the eighth minute, as La Torre forced Kalmurza to stretch and make the save. The hosts opened the scoring on 21 minutes, when Mosconi was brought down in the area. He then stepped up to take the penalty and calmly converted to make it 1-0. Kairat looked to respond through Bekbolat, whose effort was blocked by Taho. Carboni's side barely gave the guests any room in which to operate, and they were hunting for the second goal, as La Torre and Iddrissou both came close. The goal did come in the 37th minute, as Zarate sent his volley effort sailing past Kalmurza.
The second half began with Kairat on the front foot, searching for the goal that would get them back into it. The Kazakh outfit threatened through Bekbolat, who drew a save from Taho. Just before the hour mark, Inter pushed forward down the right flank: Mosconi fed Iddrissou, who fired off target. With his next attempt, the Nerazzurri's number nine didn't make any mistakes, finishing a sweeping counter-attack with a lethal strike past Kalmurza. Carbone shuffled the pack up front, sending on El Mehboubi and Kukulis. Twice the Nerazzurri came close to making it four, first through Ballo and then Marello's free-kick, saved by Kalmurza. Kairat didn't give up, and Toleukhan rounded the goalkeeper only to be denied by the crossbar. The Nerazzurri went blow for blow with their opponents, but they managed to hold out for a clean sheet and their second win in the Youth League this season.
