Inter beat Monza in a winning start with four goals and three points

The Champions of Italy got off to a sensational start in the season: in an electric San Siro, the Nerazzurri beat Monza 4-1. Calhanoglu opened the scoring with a beautiful strike, sending in a rocket from outside the box after being set up by Diouf. Monza responded by finding an equaliser through Varela in the 29th minute with an impressive individual effort to make it 1-1 at half-time. Inter ran riot in the second half, scoring through Zielinski. It was then Esposito who made it 2-1 with a spectacular back-heel finish, and finally Bisseck sealed the win with a striker's finish from his left foot in the 63rd minute. The fourth goal put the result beyond any reasonable doubt, with Inter coming close to adding a fifth on several occasions. The fans also had plenty to celebrate with the Nerazzurri debuts of John Stones and Aleksandar Stankovic. Chivu's team will be back in action next Sunday away against Cagliari.
