The Youth League is back: Olympiacos vs. Inter to be shown live on Inter.it

Cristian Chivu's Inter are set to return to Youth League action two months on from their last match in the competition: the Nerazzurri are scheduled to face Olympiacos at 14:00 CET on Wednesday 7 February.

The upcoming clash will be streamed live on inter.it, the Inter Official App and on Inter TV.

It's now time for the Youth League play-offs, where the eight domestic champions path survivors will face the eight UEFA Champions League path runners-up in one-off ties to decide the eight remaining round of 16 berths. Inter, who finished second in Group D, will take on Olympiacos, the Greek champions last season. The showdown will be played at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus. If the game finishes in a draw after 90 minutes, extra-time won't be played: the tie will be decided by a penalty shootout. The eight play-off winners will join the teams that topped the UEFA Champions League path groups in the round of 16.

Olympiacos, the 2023/24 Greek champions, have made it to this stage after progressing through two rounds in the domestic champions path. So far, Sotirios Sylaidopoulos's side have won all of their four matches in the competition. Olympiacos defeated reigning Italian champions Lecce in the first round before overcoming Gabala, the champions of Azerbaijan, to qualify for the play-offs. Across these two two-legged ties, the Greek team scored 13 and only conceded twice. 17-year-old midfielder Christos Mouzakitis is Olympiacos' top scorer in the Youth League this season with four.

Portuguese referee Miguel Nogueira will take charge of the match. Nogueira will have Hugo Manuel Freire Marques and Francisco Joao Serra Jorge Pereira as his assistants, while the Greek Georgios Balachoutis will perform the role of fourth official.
