World Cup, Onana on the pitch with Cameroon

An unfortunate start to the Qatar 2022 World Cup for André Onana's Cameroon. The Cameroon national team was defeated 1-0 by Switzerland at the Al-Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah. The match was decided by a goal from Embolo, which came at the start of the second half.

Onana was selected as a starter by coach Rigobert Song, thus collecting his first-ever World Cup appearance.

The match between Cameroon and Switzerland kicked off Group G of the World Cup: the Indomitable Lions will be back on the pitch for their second game on Monday 28 November against Serbia.
