Involving Real Eyes Sport, which has become a part of the Club’s collaborative network dedicated to inclusive sport

Inter and Qatar Airways, the Club’s Official Main Training Kit Partner, teamed up for a major initiative promoting inclusion and football for all abilities, working alongside global football icon Rio Ferdinand as part of the Qatar Airways United programme.

The project took shape over two days of activities organised with Real Eyes Sport, a leading organisation in sports participation for young people with visual impairments.

The first event brought together the Real Eyes Sport football team, Inter Youth Sector players and Rio Ferdinand for a special joint training session – a chance to share values, skills and, above all, a passion for the game.

Two young members of the association were then given a unique “all-access” matchday experience: pitchside for the warm-up, in the stands for the full San Siro atmosphere, and meeting Nerazzurri players after the final whistle, all alongside Rio Ferdinand.

Ferdinand and the Qatar Airways United crew were welcomed to Inter HQ by Vice President Javier Zanetti, who outlined the Club’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility projects.

“Inclusion is part of our DNA: Inter has always placed lots of attention on projects that support inclusion in our community, which are often developed alongside players from our Youth Sector. We know that Sport is a fundamental tool for developing self-awareness and useful skills for life off the pitch, and we are proud to support projects like that of Real Eyes Sport.”

“Sport has a unique ability to open doors for young people from every walk of life. We are proud to support programmes like this one, which use the power of sport to create connection, unity and real impact. We believe that every young person, no matter where they come from, has the chance to create and achieve greatness. This program equips the next generation with the skills and tools to enable them to pursue excellence in their chosen paths and we are pleased to be part of it.”

Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Chief Executive Officer del Gruppo Qatar Airways

“I am very happy for our boys, who, thanks to the work of the staff and the partnership with Inter, have been able to experience incredible emotions, playing with the official shirts of the Club. People with disabilities are often considered last, while they’re truly at the centre of attention on the most important canvas for them: the pitch, alongside two champions who made footballing history.”

Daniele Cassioli - Presidente di Real Eyes Sport

Starting this season, Real Eyes Sport has become a part of Inter’s collaborative network of local associations, which promote football for all abilities, alongside ASD Sporting 4 E for Paralympic and experimental football and Snakes Milano for powerchair football.

With this collaboration, Inter and Qatar Airways affirm their support for experiences that generate a positive impact on the community, and sustain the values of sport as a tool for growth, inclusion and connection between people.
