MILANO, 12 October 2026 – FC Internazionale Milano today presents the first Sustainability Report in its history, a document that marks a significant milestone in the Club’s journey towards an increasingly responsible, transparent growth model focused on creating long-term value.
The Report stems from an awareness of the role the Club plays within society and from the commitment to go beyond technical compliance requirements in order to better understand and manage the impact of its activities on fans, employees, athletes, partners, local communities and future generations.
Over the years, Inter has promoted numerous social, educational and inclusion initiatives aimed at young people, communities and supporters in Italy and around the world. With the publication of this Report, the Club takes a further step forward: bringing existing activities into a structured framework, measuring their outcomes and defining a sustainability strategy to consolidate the positive practices already in place while identifying new areas for improvement through a transparent and systematic approach.
The document provides a snapshot of Inter today and serves as the starting point of a continuous improvement journey. Just as on the pitch, progress in sustainability depends on the ability to set clear objectives, measure achievements and identify new opportunities for development.
The Report has been prepared in accordance with the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard developed by the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG). Structured around eleven ESG areas, it covers the period from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. It provides an initial structured set of information and indicators through which the Club will be able to measure its impacts over time and guide future improvement actions.
Among the key achievements reported, particular importance is given to the adoption of four new policies focused on environmental protection, safeguarding children, diversity, equity and inclusion, tackling discrimination, and football for all abilities, in line with the latest UEFA guidelines. In addition, the preparation of the Report marked the beginning of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions measurement in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
“Football has always had the power to go beyond the pitch. It is part of the lives of millions of people, creates bonds across generations and carries values that endure over time. For this reason, we recognise the responsibility we have towards our fans, our community and future generations. This first Sustainability Report represents a fundamental milestone in our journey: not an end point, but the beginning of a path that will allow us to better understand our impact, measure it and continue improving. On and off the pitch”
Giuseppe Marotta, Presidente e CEO di FC Internazionale Milano
Through the Sustainability Report, the Club also aims to foster a stronger culture of sustainability across the Nerazzurri community, engaging fans, partners and stakeholders in a shared journey of awareness and growth.
