SERIE A WOMEN'S CUP CAMPAIGN

Inter Women kicked off their 2025/26 season by taking part in the first edition of the Serie A Women's Cup, a tournament created as a preparatory competition for the 12 teams in the top-flight. The Nerazzurre finished top of Group B, ahead of Fiorentina, Como Women and Genoa, reaching the semi-final. At Stadio Romeo Menti, Piovani's side suffered a narrow defeat to Juventus (2-1), bringing their campaign to a close.

UEFA WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

The Nerazzurre's continental adventure began this Summer with their historic participation in the UEFA Women's Champions League. In the second round of qualification on 27 August, in the semi-final against Brann, Inter approached the game with great courage, finding the opener after just seven minutes through Vilhjálmsdóttir. The Norwegian side turned the game around thanks to goals from Zomers and Gaupset, before nearly falling to a late comeback: in the 90th minute, Polli went close to sealing a draw with an overhead-kick. The defeated interrupted the Champions League campaign, but not the European one entirely, as the team moved down to the UEFA Women's Europa Cup.

The Nerazzurre responded with determination and quality against Valur: a 4-1 win secured by Bugeja, Magull, Polli and Detruyer allowed Inter Women to secure third place and move onto a new European competition.

EUROPA CUP: NEXT STAGE AGAINST KFF VLLAZNIA

After the win over Valur, Inter then eliminated Hibernian in the first round of qualifying. The Nerazzurre won the first-leg 4-1 at home thanks to goals from Bugeja, Schough, Polli and Glionna. Tomasevic's goal in the second-leg was enough to secure qualification.

In Nyon, the draw dictated our next match: Piovani's side will face the Albanian side KFF Vllaznia. The first-leg against the Albania side will be played at the KONAMI Football Centre on Wednesday 8 October with kick-off at 18:00 CEST, the second-leg will be played one week later in Albania on Wednesday 15 October at the Loro-Boriçi Stadium with kick-off at 18:00 CET.

A crucial match which could bring the Nerazzurre to the next round of the European competition.
