U21 beat AlbinoLeffe 2 - 1

The start of the season is fast approaching, and Inter U23 are stepping up their preparations. Stefano Vecchi's side claimed a 2-1 friendly victory away to AlbinoLeffe in Zanica thanks to an impressive display and two goals scored in the opening ten minutes of the second half. After a goalless first half, the match came to life immediately after the restart following the Nerazzurri coach's raft of substitutions. Franchi, introduced at the break, broke the deadlock just three minutes into the second half before Agbonifo doubled the lead in the 55th minute. The quickfire double proved enough to secure victory for Inter despite AlbinoLeffe's late response, with De Paoli converting a penalty in the 84th minute.

The Nerazzurri will continue their preparations ahead of the first official fixtures of the season with two more friendlies before their Coppa Italia preliminary-round tie against Vado. Inter U23 will face Lecco on Wednesday 5 August at 18:00 CEST before taking on Pergolettese at the same time on Sunday 9 August.
