Inter U23 beat Salernitana as Charlys nets the winner

Inter U23 bounced back immediately from their defeat at Cosenza, beating Salernitana to claim a second successive home win. Vecchi’s side played well, weathering the visitors’ early pressure before growing stronger as the first half progressed. Charlys broke the deadlock (41’), having already seen a goal ruled out (27’). Salernitana stepped up their attacking pressure after the break in search of an equaliser, but Melgrati stood firm, denying Cardoni, Llano and Achik. Mancuso went close to adding a second in stoppage time before Inter had to withstand a final Salernitana onslaught. The Nerazzurri held on to secure three vital league points.
