The Nigerian forward, born in 1995, joins Inter after her spell with Everton


MILANO - FC Internazionale Milano is pleased to announce the signing of Antionette Oyedupe “Toni” Payne. The Nigerian forward, born in 1995, has signed a contract with the Club until 30 June 2028.

Born on 22 April 1995 in Birmingham, Alabama, to Nigerian parents, Antionette Oyedupe “Toni” Payne began playing football as a child alongside her sisters Stephen and Nicole, who would later join her in representing the Nigerian national team. Her career in Europe began in 2017 after an opportunity with Ajax brought her across the Atlantic. Following a season in the Netherlands, she moved to Sevilla, where she made 168 appearances and scored 30 goals between 2018 and 2024 before joining Everton. After representing the United States at U17 level, Payne chose to play for Nigeria at senior international level, making her debut for the Super Eagles in 2021.
