La Albiceleste beat Australia 2-1 in the round of 16

Argentina beat Australia 2-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup. Messi and Alvarez scored the goals for the Argentines, with Lautaro entering the fray in the 71st minute.

Scaloni's team will now take on the Netherlands on 9 December.
