A 2-1 victory for the Croats over Morocco

Marcelo Brozovic's Croatia emerged victorious from today's third-place World Cup playoff to claim the bronze medal at Qatar 2022. At the Khalifa International Stadium in Al Rayyan, the Croats beat Morocco 2-1 thanks to goals from Gvardiol and Orsic, with Dari scoring a temporary equaliser for the Moroccans.

Brozovic didn't take to the pitch today, meaning the Nerazzurri midfielder ended the tournament with six appearances and 554 minutes to his name. This third-place finish comes after he and his country reached the final, which they lost to France, four years ago at Russia 2018.
