InterNationals: Akanji and Sucic in action

Another night of international action saw two Inter players feature on the opening matchday of the Nations League group stage.

Manuel Akanji started Switzerland’s 3-0 away win over North Macedonia. Freuler opened the scoring at the Toše Proeski National Arena before Amdouni added a brace, with Akanji playing the full 90 minutes.

Petar Sucic was also named in the starting XI as Croatia earned a 2-1 victory away to Czechia. Second-half goals from Modric and Pasalic secured all three points at the Fortuna Arena in Prague. The Nerazzurri midfielder played 88 minutes before being replaced by Vlasic.

Josep Martínez remained an unused substitute as Spain beat England 3-2 at Wembley. The reigning world champions prevailed in a thrilling encounter through goals from Yamal, Baena and Oyarzabal.
