InterNationals, five Nerazzurri in action

International action has kicked off this week with World Cup qualifiers and Nations League group-stage fixtures.

Five Nerazzurri saw action on Thursday evening; Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco and Davide Frattesi with Italy, Marko Arnautovic with Austria and Mehdi Taremi with Iran.

BASTONI, DIMARCO AND FRATTESI PLAY IN ITALY DRAW

Italy and Belgium played out a 2-2 draw in Group 2 of League A in the UEFA Nations League. The Azzurri started strongly, taking a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to goals from Cambiaso and Retegui. Federico Dimarco had a hand in both: for the first goal, his ball in from the left set up an easy tap-in finish, while for the second, his incredible cross-field ball to kick-start the Azzurri's counter-attack. The guests got a goal back through De Cuyper just before half-time, moments after a red card shown to Pellegrini had seen Italy go down to ten men.

Trossard then equalised for the Red Devils. Bastoni played the full 90 minutes, while Dimarco and Frattesi - both in the starting XI - came off in the 70th and 90th minute respectively. The Azzurri are still top of their group, now on seven points.

AUSTRIA THRASH KAZAKHSTAN

Arnautovic's Austria fired four unanswered goals past Kazakhstan in the Nations League: Baumgartner, Lienhart, Sabitzer and Seidl on the scoresheet.

The Inter striker came on in the 62nd minute and provided the assist for the fourth goal. Die Burschen are now on four points in second in League B Group 3.

Marcus Thuram was an unused sub in France's 4-1 victory over Israel.

TAREMI PLAYS IN IRAN DRAW

Novanta minuti in campo per Mehdi Taremi nel pareggio senza reti tra Uzbekistan e Iran, nel match valido per la qualificazioni ai mondiali. La nazionale iraniana guida adesso la classifica del girone A asiatico con sette punti, a pari merito con gli uzbeki.
