InterNationals, important wins for Italy and Croatia

Italy and Croatia both recorded important 2026 World Cup qualifying wins. The Azzurri beat Moldova 2-0 in Spalletti's last game in charge: Raspadori scored towards the end of the first half, before Cambiaso doubled Italy's advantage from a Frattesi assist. The latter played the full 90 minutes, as did Bastoni. Barella and Dimarco featured for 45 minutes. It was the Azzurri's first win in Group I, and now they have six points from two matches.

A Croatia side featuring Sucic also picked up three points with a 5-1 victory over Czechia: Kramaric (a brace), Modric, Perisic and Budimir all got on the scoresheet for the hosts. The Inter midfielder played the entire match. The Croats currently occupy second place in Group L with two wins from two games.
