Another important goal. Following the goal against Fiorentina and the brilliant strike against Lazio, Marko Arnautovic left his mark again at San Siro. His goal in the 1st minute of stoppage time in the first half sparked the comeback against Monza, as we found ourselves 0-2 down after 44 minutes.
“This win is important. This evening's match shows that we can't underestimate anyone in this league. When I made it 1-1, I felt a change in the side, and then in the second half we showed what we are about, the fans also gave us a big boost. Obviously, at the break we knew that it was difficult, it's not easy being behind at home: we came onto the field and played very well. I am happy to have scored and helped the team. I play for my teammates, not for myself, I work for the group, even when I'm not playing. I feel good at the moment, my muscles are responding well, when you don't play it's difficult but recently I've found some consistency. The team deserves this and deserves to win. There's still a long way to go in the season, we have to try and win whenever we can. The fans at San Siro help us greatly, we have to continue in this way together. I'm happy with the goal and also for Calhanoglu, we often score in the same game. Calhanoglu is so important for me, I have played for 20 years and not had a friend like him: he's a brother, he's so important to the group and he is doing well the team is doing well. There's still a long way to go in the league, we always have to perform. I was a fan in 2010, even though I was part of the winning group. That season doesn't completely belong to me, but now I am here and we will try to win everything we can. It's long and difficult but we will give our all. ”
