The Nerazzurri coach's comments after the 2-0 win over Genoa, marking the 8th consecutive victory for the Nerazzurri in the league

A crucial victory earned through mental resilience and character. This marks Inter's eighth consecutive victory in Serie A, keeping them at the top of the table. The Nerazzurri are enjoying a very promising run in the league, with 14 wins and a draw across their last 15 matches.

After the match, the Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu shared his thoughts on the win at home over Genoa:

“This was an important game because we knew how much these three points would matter as we approached the end of the season, reinforcing our good form. It wasn't easy, Genoa are a strong side and can prove difficult for any opponent. Also, this was our 16th match in just over 50 days, and we needed to keep up the momentum we've had during this time. Dimarco's giving it his all, making an important contribution, just like the rest of the squad. We always give it our all, preparing carefully and going into each game with the right mindset, viewing every opponent with the same respect and being aware of the work we've done so far. Matches can go either way, but the most important thing is working as hard as we can. We haven't won the Scudetto yet, there are still eleven games and 33 points up for grabs. There's still a lot to do, and we need to keep pushing to maintain the form we've shown over the last eight months, especially these last two. We're all in good shape, and we're making sure that each player knows their importance to the team. Everyone has a winning mindset and has accepted reality, for better or for worse. We are ambitious and competitive, and it shows. Thuram is in good shape, just like all our forwards, and the entire squad is delivering strong performances. We've regained our energy and always given it everything we've got. I'm happy because these are three vital points. We have 25 players who are ready to give their all to help us achieve what we want. Coppa Italia? We always give 100%, it's a big season for us, and we want to keep up with this mindset. ”
