A goal for another trophy, a goal for the history books: when Lautaro Martínez jumped on top of the advertising hoardings to celebrate in front of the Inter supporters, the Olimpico vibrated with a special, unique and unstoppable energy. A spark that ignited a fire, a goal that took every Interista supporter back to 24 May 2023: that day, in the same goal, Lautaro scored twice in the Coppa Italia final against Fiorentina, delivering the ninth domestic trophy to the Nerazzurri. Two goals, numbers 100 and 101 in an Inter shirt: now we have reached 175, but the ending remains the same. The image is that of El Toro filled with joy, arms wide open, ready to embrace every Nerazzurri supporter in spirit, at the Olimpico, in Milano, across the world. A joy also captured in his post-match interview:
“For us this is a very important and meaningful victory, it was not easy to bounce back after last year. We managed to put together a truly important season in terms of play, intensity, performances and results. I am happy because we are finishing the year with two trophies, it has been really important for us. There is always a lot of talk about Inter for everything we have been doing in recent years, but we must continue down this road to win titles because that is what we want: this season we have won two and we are truly delighted.”
