Second consecutive goal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who scored against Lazio away after sealing the win against Parma that secured the Scudetto for Inter. Once again, the Armenian showed all of his immense class. But Mkhitaryan’s focus is already firmly on the next objective: the Coppa Italia final.
Mkhitaryan spoke after the match at the Olimpico, along with Andy Diouf and Luis Henrique:
“I’m not thinking about anything else right now. There are so many emotions. I’ve had a great career, and I’m happy with everything I’ve achieved, happy to still be playing and to be part of Inter, alongside teammates who have extended my career over these last four years. Wednesday will be another huge challenge for us, and hopefully, we can prepare in the best way possible and go on to lift another trophy”

“I want to play to do my part for the team. I felt good playing behind the striker too, it’s not the first time I’ve played further forward. I’m really enjoying being part of this group and I feel good at the moment. I needed a bit of time to settle in at first, but now I’m comfortable, and after all it’s only my first season here. I can play on the right and the left and I enjoy taking defenders on one-on-one. My pace helps me, and right now I’m feeling good on the right, even though I originally started out as a midfielder. At the end of the day, the most important thing is being on the pitch and helping the team.”
Andy Diouf
“We've proven that we're a strong side even with players who get fewer minutes on the pitch; that's what this Club is all about. We still want to win and bring home the Coppa Italia; we're always hungry for more. I've fully recovered from my injury, I'm happy to be here and to have won my first trophy, and I hope I can do it again on Wednesday, even if it will be a different kind of game. We'll push ourselves even harder to try and win the Coppa Italia. I never expected to win the Scudetto in my first season, but I'm so happy about it.”
