A Champions League night, an unforgettable night for Pio Esposito: the young Inter forward make his Champions League debut at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam. Esposito played the match with substance and character, displaying 90 minutes of quality: Pio made 47 passes, shooting three times and creating three chances for his teammates. The 2005-born player was involved in eleven duels against his opponents, winning six of them: significant and important numbers for a 21 year old who made his full Champions League debut.
Pio spoke about his emotions after the game:
“Every kid playing football has these dreams: the music had a strange effect on me, I realised where I was, remembering the times that I was watching these sort of games on TV. I've got teammates who always play the right ball to me: for a forward, it's a pleasure to play in this team. Having an effect on your own is difficult, but I am happy with my performance, we're back to winning ways and that's the most important thing. I always try to play my game at every level, I think I did this quite well tonight. My family is happy, they gave me kudos. ”
