Reaction from the Nerazzurri goalkeeper, whose crucial saves helped him keep his first clean sheet for Inter

Sharp reflexes and acrobatic saves: Ivan Provedel came to Inter’s rescue with several excellent stops against Venezia at the Penzo. The Friuli-born goalkeeper made crucial first-half saves to deny Kike Pérez and Lauberbach, keeping the score at 0-0 during Inter’s most difficult spell. His performance earned him his first clean sheet for the club on just his second appearance in Nerazzurri colours.

The goalkeeper reflected on the game in his post-match interview:

“I did my job, and fortunately we managed to break the deadlock and take all three points. It wasn’t our best performance, but that can happen. We’re playing all the time, and teams fighting to stay up sit back against us and then hit us on the break. But we held firm and won thanks to our quality. We’re at Inter, so we have to give our best every day. There’s a great atmosphere in the group, and we have fun while we work too. From the moment I arrived, I could see what a great group this was. It’s no coincidence that the club have won so much in recent years. That has to be the foundation we build on. We need to be in the best possible shape for the derby. I think the motivation will take care of itself for a game like that, so the coach will only need to focus on tactics. We’ll get some rest now and start focusing on it tomorrow.”
