A relentless display down the right flank, with pace and energy to spare throughout the 90 minutes, Djed Spence was everywhere as Inter secured victory over Feyenoord in Rotterdam. Making just his second start for the Nerazzurri, the English wing-back set up Bisseck's opening goal before his deflected cross led to Esposito doubling Inter's advantage. Spence was a constant threat going forward, repeatedly taking on his marker and getting to the byline, while his pace also proved invaluable defensively, allowing him to recover quickly and track back when needed.
Djed was named UEFA Player of the Match, with the UEFA Technical Observers explaining their decision:
"He dominated the opening 35 minutes, delivering two world-class balls from the right flank that helped Inter race into a commanding lead. He also maintained excellent passing accuracy, showed blistering pace and demonstrated his immense potential in Cristian Chivu's 3-5-2 system."
The English wing-back spoke to the media after the match:
“I'm delighted with the win and the three points, and I'm happy with my performance. I'm settling in well. The team and the coach have made me feel really welcome and have helped me a lot. We need to show the same mentality and hunger on Sunday against Como if we want to get another win.”
