The Croatian midfielder discussed his emotions after the game, alongside Marcus Thuram, who made sure to stay on the pitch until the very end to celebrate with the fans:
“I'm delighted. It was a great evening. I think we deserved to go through because we were two goals down and still managed to turn things around. It's never easy to make a comeback in a game like that. We showed how strong our drive was, and we never gave up. I've wanted to win since I arrived at Inter: it would be incredible to win two trophies in my first year. I hope we can carry on like this until the end of the season. We give everything in every game and every minute to win Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
