Thuram and Diouf: “A tough game, but an important win”
First Team
— 29 minutes agoIt was a difficult game for Inter in Venice, but the Nerazzurri overcame the hosts thanks to two late own goals. Marcus Thuram and Andy Diouf, who both played the full 90 minutes and were key to breaking down Venezia’s resistance, reflected on the win in their post-match interviews:
“We stayed in the game and scored two important goals to take all three points. We give everything, and we’re all ready to do our best for Inter. We want to win every game and always give 100%.”
Marcus Thuram
“It’s never easy to play away against teams like these, but we got the result and now we’re ready for a big game. We’re playing every three days, but that’s the way it is: we have to win every match. It’s not easy to break down a low block, but we played well in the second half and managed to win. When you play for a Club like this, it’s important to make such a good start, but we have to keep it up. The derby is very important to us and the fans, and we want to win. For me, playing is the most important thing. I’m happy with this team, and I feel more comfortable in this position every day.”
