Inzaghi: "A bitter feeling given how the result came about"

It finished 1-0 to Juventus on matchday 27 in Serie A. This is what Simone Inzaghi had to say after the game:

"We conceded a goal that shouldn't have stood and changed the course of the match; something very serious happened. It wasn't easy in the first half because they were defending deeply with many men. The team did well in the second half and created opportunities. We could have equalised in a match that, unfortunately, was characterised by incidents that steered it in Juventus' favour. The result doesn't reflect what happened on the pitch.

"We got a few things wrong technically and came into it on the back of a cycle of important matches and after picking up a few injuries. The incidents during tonight's game made the difference, and what happened is unacceptable. Now, we'll need to try and work with those who will be with us during the international break and get our injured players back fit. We've got another long cycle of matches ahead of us and need to make sure that we're ready. Tonight, unlike in other games, there were no slip-ups on our part; the goal had a decisive impact on the match. We started well, and I can have no complaints about the team's attitude."
