Inter won 2-0 in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final against AC Milan, thanks to goals from Dzeko and Mkhitaryan. At the end of the match, here's what Coach Simone Inzaghi had to say:
“I am very satisfied, it was an extraordinary first half, we could have even scored more than two goals. We know that we have the advantage, that we will play at home in six days, but it is not the first double-legged game we have played in Europe and we will need a big effort to make a dream come true. I asked for heart and head yesterday, everyone responded well and that's the way we always want to perform. Now it is right to be happy but we are aware that there is still work to do. In 72 hours we have another important game against Sassuolo in the league, these matches take a lot of energy out of us and we'll have to evaluate some players who are out injured, but we'll prepare as best as we can.”
