— Apr 8th 2024The thoughts of Coach Simone Inzaghi following Inter's comeback victory in Udine
A wonderful victory that arrived five minutes into second-half stoppage time. The Nerazzurri showed brilliant character to come from behind and send the Inter fans at the stadium into raptures. This is what Coach Simone Inzaghi had to say after the game:
“The lads are doing something extraordinary and I continue to be thrilled by them: seeing this heart when we encounter difficulties is hugely satisfying. I coach excellent players who always give everything. We’ve won 26 out of our 31 league matches so far, but we mustn’t start making calculations. I’d like to congratulate Udinese, who played a great game. From their perspective, losing in this manner must be annoying, but, given how organised and tenacious they are, they can certainly avoid relegation. I’m lucky to be in charge of a team that follow me closely on a daily basis. The only thing I could complain about tonight is the counter-attack we conceded where Mkhitaryan was forced into an incredible intervention, a clearance that sums up what this group is all about. ”
“We’re only focused on our journey and don’t have any regrets. We also gave absolutely everything in Europe, but football isn’t forgiving and it went the way it did. However, we’ve been achieving extraordinary results in the Champions League for three years now. A great synergy has been created between the team, fans and Club: our supporters always spur us on. This is a win that we wanted at all costs. We know that we still need eight more points to mathematically win the title, and we need to keep our concentration levels high.”
