The Coach's thoughts following Fiorentina vs. Inter

FLORENCE - It finished in a 4-3 victory at the Franchi this evening, with Inter picking up three crucial points following a thrilling encounter. This is what Coach Inzaghi had to say following the game:

"We believed until the end. Beyond the three points, it's a very important win. The team's belief was rewarded and we sent out a big signal against a really good side at a tough place to play. We could have handled the match better; we were in control until the half-hour mark but then lost our cool after they'd made it 2-1. We should have continued playing in the same way, but, despite this, we displayed a great reaction and always believed. We needed this win and have to keep looking ahead because we have a vital game in two days.

"Lautaro? I've never been worried and have always said so, even when he wasn't scoring. He's been doing his job since 13 August and if he scores twice like he did this evening, then all the better. Correa? He's a top-quality player and did really well in the first 55 minutes, working well with Lautaro. He's in need of continuity; unfortunately, he's had a few physical problems but can only grow from this point onwards. I'm convinced that he'll really help us from now until the end.

"The Club has always made its presence felt. The President has been with us since yesterday and everyone is always by our side. The whole management wants the best for Inter. Handanovic? He's our captain. He currently has an issue with his finger but is always close to the team. Everyone sent out a great signal today. We talk to each other every day. This is a team with spirit and consists of important players who have won and want to continue to win.

"Our objectives are clear. We want to progress from our group in the Champions League and, thanks to the return of important players, have our say in the league. Then we also have the Supercoppa and Coppa Italia, too. Now, I'm focused on Wednesday's game. We need ten points to make it to the round of 16. We still have a lot to do in Serie A, but we need to try and close the gap."
