Javier Zanetti among the stars of the Football for the Goals Champions

A meaningful initiative created by the United Nations, Football for the Goals Champions is a programme designed to promote sustainable development goals through leading figures from world football.

Among those involved is Javier Zanetti. The Inter Vice President joins Football for the Goals Champions after previously being included in the UN Circle of Supporters, in recognition of his long-standing commitment to showing how football and sport can drive development and dialogue, while supporting human rights and children’s rights. Zanetti continues on this journey, as he also serves as an Ambassador for Inter Campus which collaborates with the United Nations on various projects.

The Football for the Goals Champions participants were announced by the United Nations on Monday 25 May, on World Football Day.
