The thoughts of the Armenian midfielder following the Nerazzurri's league defeat to Juventus

Inter fell to a 2-0 defeat at the Allianz Stadium this evening. After an excellent first half where the Nerazzurri created several chances, Inzaghi's side were punished as Rabiot and Fagioli found the net. This is what Henrikh Mkhitaryan had to say in his post-match interview with Inter TV:

“We’ve dropped three points and deserved more. We played really well in the first half and also started the second half well, but then we lost our way after their goal. I don’t believe mental weakness is an issue when we fall behind. We tried to pull together to grab an equaliser; we’re a strong side and can certainly do much better. We always play to win, and all matches are complicated. We’ve had a poor start in the league, but there’s still time. We’ll start from the two matches that will bring 2022 to an end, but a new league season will begin in January and I think there’s still time to make up lost ground. It’s the first time that a World Cup will be taking place during the season, but we’ll be ready in January. The Champions League draw? We’re Inter and shouldn’t have any preferences as regards our opponents.”
