A special honour to open an important evening: during the build-up to Inter vs. Napoli, Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez received the Paolo Rossi Award, presented by the AIC to Serie A’s top scorer.
Established in 2011 by the Italian Footballers’ Association for the league’s leading goalscorer, the prize has borne the name of the legendary Pablito for the past six seasons. The trophy was presented to El Toro by Inter President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta and AIC President Umberto Calcagno.
After scoring 17 goals in Serie A in 2025/26, Lautaro received the Paolo Rossi Award for the second time in his career, having previously claimed it following his 24-goal campaign in 2023/24. It is the latest in a long line of accolades for the Nerazzurri captain, whose performances last season had already seen him named Best Striker and Top Scorer by Lega Calcio Serie A, as well as earning him a place in the AIC’s 2025/26 Team of the Season.
